This lead me towards specializing in managing associations and fostering community growth which reflects a commendable dedication to my profession and a commitment to continuous improvement. Pursuing additional education through the Community Association Institute (CAI) demonstrates my proactive approach to honing my skills and staying abreast of industry best practices.

Becoming a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) in 2019 showcases my dedication to professionalism and adherence to high standards in community management. Moreover, obtaining the esteemed designations of Association Management Specialist (AMS) and the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) through ongoing professional development highlights my growth and commitment to excellence and leadership in this field.

My active involvement in the Education Committee and the Communications Committee for the Chesapeake Chapter of CAI demonstrates a willingness to contribute to the growth and development of the professional community. Serving as a panelist for industry events like the March 2023 Breakfast Series on Reserve Studies and coordinating others like the December 2023 Breakfast Series further underscores my leadership and expertise in the field.

In my spare time, I volunteer with The Complete Player Charity, an organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth in the Brooklyn Park community. Each Tuesday, I support their programs aimed at providing mentorship and opportunities for personal and academic growth. I also serve on the planning committee for their annual gala, helping to organize the event and collect donated items for the silent auction. In addition, I contribute to local planning initiatives as a Stakeholder Advisory Council member with Region 5 for Anne Arundel County, where I collaborate with fellow community members and officials to support long-term development goals as part of the county’s Plan2040 initiative.

As the owner and President of Riveter Management Group, LLC, with deep roots in Anne Arundel County and a robust understanding of the local community, I bring a unique perspective to the real estate industry. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Baltimore, I began working in commercial real estate development which equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills that I have applied throughout my career.

My journey in real estate began with a focus on developing green-certified industrial spaces in commercial real estate, showcasing our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the built environment. However, my passion for residential management flourished during my time working in apartment management in Columbia, Maryland.

Meet

Jessica Miller

Starting my career in the financial field was not something I initially expected, but I eventually developed a love for it. I first began as the receptionist for a financial and retirement planning firm, where I was soon promoted to Assistant for two of the advisors. In this role, I learned much about IRAs, CDs, annuities, and 403 (b) s, while also developing strong relationships with our clients. My strong organizational skills and knack for finances began developing from there.

From there, I pivoted slightly and began working Accounts Receivable, and eventually Accounts Payable, for a freight forwarder, shipping vehicles from the east coast of the United States to Western Africa and the Middle East. After that, I soon found my way into property management, working under Ms. Vazquez at Riveter Management Group, LLC.

Working at Riveter has been an amazing learning and growth opportunity. Learning more about Accounts Payable and property management in general has been an eye-opening experience. And it is one I look forward to continuing to pursue. On her off time you can find her playing with her pet snake Little Foot or playing Dungeon & Dragons with her friends.
